My name is Dr. De Vida Gill. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, speaker, educator, creative strategist, and transformational coach. With over 25 years of experience working with teens and adults in a variety of capacities, I have provided mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. My practice has a special emphasis on working with creatives and creative thinkers to unmask the emotional roadblocks (e.g., anxiety, depression, self-doubt, lack of confidence, life transition, and patterns of self-sabotaging behavior) hindering them from making their wellness a priority.
I have worked extensively with artists (within the performing, visual, and literary arts), educators, entrepreneurs, and other clinicians in the community as a mental health specialist, transformational coach, creative strategist, consultant, educator, program developer, and mental health specialist/ coordinator. I have also led many groups and provided trainings on adolescent parenting, using music and lyrics to creatively explore emotional patterns and life transitions, creative expression, the inner dynamics of leadership, transition to independence, and more. In addition, I have worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California in the School of Social Work. Currently, I work as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University in the Graduate School of Psychology and Education.
My approach is holistic, eclectic, strength based, and customized. You are the center of your journey. I provide unbiased support to help you effectively address your emotional challenges, build upon your strengths, and walk with you on this new journey of exploration, discovery, and growth.
